San Bernardino County As-Needed NPDES Permit Support

The San Bernardino County Flood Control District (SBCFCD) is the designated Principal Permittee under the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit for the Santa Ana River Watershed. The Permit requires the SBCFCD to conduct water quality monitoring, prepare reports, develop plans, and implement various programs to improve water quality.

CWE has provided the SBCFCD and its 17 Co-Permittees with on-call regulatory assistance to comply with the San Bernardino County NPDES Municipal Stormwater Permit since 2007. We have performed several important task orders under this contract, with highlights including annual report preparation, Construction General Permit Qualified Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) Developer and Practitioner (QSD/P) training, Report of Waste Discharge (ROWD) preparation assistance, and inspections of discretionary projects to verify that Water Quality Management Plan (WQMP) features were being installed in accordance with the California Stormwater Quality Association (CASQA) Stormwater Best Management Practice (BMP) Handbook – New Development and Redevelopment.
