Stormwater Compliance Training

National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permits require Permittees to train employees in targeted positions whose job or activities may impact stormwater or urban runoff water quality.  CWE staff has extensive experience in training public agency, developer, contractor, and industrial/commercial operator staff to comply with stormwater pollution prevention regulations and apply effective Best Management Practices (BMPs).

Municipal Stormwater Compliance Training

CWE's stormwater compliance training is designed to give employees a fundamental understanding of stormwater pollution prevention techniques, regulations, and BMPs.  Our training program teaches employees about stormwater management, potential sources of contaminants, and practices for preventing discharges.

Construction Activities Stormwater Training

CWE offers stormwater compliance training that meets the requirements of the Construction General Permit for stormwater discharges associated with construction activity.  Our training program covers: stormwater pollution prevention from construction sites; proper selection, installation, maintenance, and inspection of construction BMPs; preparation of a Sampling and

Analysis Plan (SAP); water quality sampling techniques; reporting; and analysis of water quality data.

Industrial Activities Stormwater Training

CWE offers comprehensive stormwater compliance training to industrial/commercial personnel who are responsible for implementing activities identified in the facility specific SWPPP, conducting inspections, sampling, visual observations, and managing stormwater runoff.  Training topics address areas such as spill response, good housekeeping, material handling procedures, and actions necessary to implement all BMPs identified in the SWPPP.
