SUSMP/WQMP Services

NPDES Municipal Stormwater Permits require new development and significant redevelopment projects to incorporate post-construction BMPs to mitigate polluted stormwater runoff.  Several different project types require a Standard Urban Stormwater Mitigation Plan (SUSMP) or Water Quality Management Plan (WQMP) to reduce the quantity of rainfall runoff and improve the quality of water that leaves the site.

CWE has one of the leading experts on SUSMPs/WQMPs. While employed with the County of Los Angeles, our principal developed the nation's first  SUSMP requirements under the 1996 Los Angeles County NPDES Municipal Stormwater Permit.  He also developed the first comprehensive BMP Manual, providing detailed descriptions and design criteria for various BMPs so that builders, land developers, engineers, and planners could select and appropriately size post-construction BMPs to comply with the SUSMP/WQMP requirements.

CWE offers SUSMP/WQMP preparation services to meet NPDES Permit requirements.  Our plans include detailed drawings of all structural BMPs, a hydrology and hydraulic analysis, and an operation and maintenance plan to satisfy all plan checks.
