Stormwater Compliance Inspections

Regulatory enforcement is at an all time high for compliance with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit, General NPDES Permits for Construction and Industrial Activities, and Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs).  Both public and private entities are subject to steep fines if not in compliance with required Stormwater Management Programs, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Erosion Control Plans, and TMDL Implementation Plans.

CWE offers stormwater compliance inspection services for municipal yards, construction projects, and industrial and commercial facilities.  Our experienced inspectors will ensure regulatory requirements are being followed and proper Best Management Practices (BMPs) are used.

Public Agency Compliance Inspections

Municipal Stormwater Programs require stormwater compliance inspections of public and private construction projects, industrial/commercial facilities, and municipal yards to ensure minimum requirements are being achieved and applicable BMPs are being implemented and maintained.  CWE can perform stormwater compliance inspections to track and assist public agencies with their NPDES implementation efforts.

Construction Compliance Inspections

Construction projects are required to perform self inspections to ensure proper implementation of the SWPPP.  CWE inspectors can assist developers and contractors to identify any compliance deficiencies and ensure that BMPs are properly implemented and functioning effectively.

Industrial Compliance Inspections

Industrial/commercial facilities also require self inspections.  CWE's experienced inspectors can assist facility operators with inspections to ensure compliance with the Industrial General Permit and facility SWPPP, and recommend any additional BMPs to achieve regulatory compliance.
